  • Yes, I accept Aetna and Optum insurance (Oxford, Oscar and United Healthcare) in Florida and Virginia and Aetna in Washington.

    For all other insurance companies I am considered an out-of-network provider. This means if you have out-of-network benefits with your insurance companyI can provide you with a Superbill (receipt) for our sessions. You may then be able to receive partial reimbursement from your insurance company for session fees.

    IMPORTANT: Please contact your insurance company directly to ask if you have out-of-network benefits and if so, what they would reimburse for therapy sessions. Any reimbursement that you do or do not receive is between you and your insurance company.

  • Individual Session (50 min) $175

    Family Session/PMT (50 min) $200

    I accept payment by card transaction, including most debit and credit, HSA and FSA cards.

  • Yes, I maintain a limited number of appointments for discounted session rates for clients who have financial constraints to receive services and are uninsured or underinsured via Open Path. If this is something you’re interested in please visit Open Path prior to reaching out for a free 15-minute consult.

  • No, I do not offer in-person sessions at this time.

  • Great question. Online therapy with me will start with a 15-minute free phone consultation to see if we’re the right fit. During that consultation if you’re ready to get started we’ll schedule our first session. You will then receive information about how our sessions are held, complete a client portal where you will fill out paperwork and monitor your schedule.

  • You can be anywhere in WA, VA or FL as long as you’re in a private setting, have a good internet connection and you’re not driving as safety comes first. I do encourage people I work with to be in a space that feels comfortable and safe to them.

  • During our first appointment we will talk in more specific detail about what brings you into counseling. I will ask questions about your personal history and we’ll spend time talking about your goals or what you’d like to accomplish in therapy.

  • The length of therapy is different for everyone. For some people 5-10 sessions may feel like enough to address their goals and for others long-term sessions help them best. I view each person I work with uniquely and how long you’re in therapy will be determined by what feels best for you.

  • Yes. You may have noticed that I utilize both counseling and therapy interchangeably throughout my website. I professionally view them as the same thing. I am a Masters level clinician who is licensed and has specialized training to assess, diagnosis and treat people who are experiencing a mental health related need. Whether you call it counseling or therapy, my dedication to and the work I do with people is always the same.

    I accept Aetna and Optum insurance as an in-network provider and all other insurance types I am an out-of-network provider or a self-pay practice.

    Example:

    2 individual self-pay sessions per month at $150 per session = $300 month

    4 in-network insurance sessions with $20 co-pay per session per month = $80 month
